700 year sports stadium Chiang Mai
Aug 17th, 2007 by Lillian
Chiang Mai has a big Sports Complex. The 700 year stadium. It provides eight types of sporting activities - swimming, tennis, badminton, aerobics, outdoor sports park, gym, sauna and shooting.
The swimming pool is a 50-meter, 8 lane Olympic pool. There is an adjacent diving pool with springboards and platforms. The pool water is clean, clear and well maintained. There are toilets, showers and changing booths. The shallowest part (each end) is over one meter deep, so it’s not the best choice of a pool for very small children or non-swimmers. The diving pool is what really attracts us. The platforms from 1meter up to 10 meter. I managed to jump from the 3 meter but I didn’t have the courage to go higher. It would be cool to jump from the 10 meter.. Who knows maybe I’ll do it before I’m 40 haha. (just for the record, my Son11 jumped from the 10m… )

Congratulations to both of you!
It’s normal they have that coz it’s a big city.
I have never jumped into a pool from a high platform. I got to try it once.
Just wanted to ask a favour. I am in a blog competition. Would really appreciate it if you could vote for me here http://www.polldaddy.com/p.asp?p=89454
My entry is #15. Thanks,
Where may I find photos of the athletics track (inside) of the 700-year stadium in Chiang Mai?
Thanks.
Ventsi.. I have no idea. I presume you’ve googled it and looked on Flickr?
