The Singapore Zoo is the nicest Zoo I’ve ever been to. The animals live in a very friendly inhabitant. The whole Zoo is big and surrounded by protected forests. There are lots of tropical plants, shrubs and bushes.
Even in the middle of the day the temperatures are cooler than in the city. Of-course, everyone knows that but its still amazing when you feel it yourself. We walked around for 5 hours! No wonder our kids were dead tired when we got back to our friends house !
When our kids got asked what they liked best they replied the playground. Hmmmm not what we wanted to hear… we went for the ANIMALS NOT the playground. But I don’t blame them. The playground is fun too with its water works, swings and playthings.
Unfortunately we missed all the animal feeding times and most of the shows. We did see the ‘Animals Friends Show’. How domestic animals like dogs, rats, cats and ducks can be trained. My kids loved it because they got to pat the animals after the show. The kids also loved the donkey and horses. Its at a part of the Zoo which seems a little deserted. There were almost no other people around and we really enjoyed the peace and the kids enjoyed patting the donkeys.
The whole day was fun and if we ever go to Singapore again we will go to the Zoo- AGAIN.
Singapore Zoo

Yep… I have to agree, that is the best zoo in the world. We were there three years ago and spent ages there too. I loved how some of the monkeys were just free to wonder around. Next time we’re in Singapore we want to do the night safari, it’s supposed to be good!
The other place we enjoyed visiting was the aquarium on Sentosa Island. Have you been there yet?
