Mother Theresa, 10 years after her death
Sep 9th, 2007 by Lillian
When a poor person dies of hunger,
it has not happened because God did not
take care of him or her.
It has happened because neither you nor I wanted to give
that person what he or she needed.
- Mother Theresa
Mother Theresa died 10 years ago. She left the convent and began her missionary work with the poor in 1948. What began as a small order with 13 members, now has more than 4000 nuns running orphanages, AIDS hospices and charity centers worldwide, caring for the blind, disabled, aged, alcoholics, the poor and homeless, and refugees.
Apparently she got criticised alot for her beliefs and other things. I guess no one can go through life without being criticized. I wonder how she dealt with it?
On September the 5th, 1997 she died and was granted a state funeral by the Indian Government. Thats 10 years ago. I think about the things she said, the things she did and I’m very challenged… What will people say about me when I’m dead? What will people remember about me?

She was an amazing woman, and her words are still very challenging today!
… not that I want to have to say it for a long, long time. Still I would say that you were a great woman, friend and mother to our children. Someone who cared about people, someone ready to go the extra mile and to give, while not loosing the joy of being alive and have a passion for life.
Thanx Philipp.. sweet…
She was an amazing woman!
She saw so much poverty, despair, suffering, sadness, madness, etc. that it doesn’t surprises me that she had her doubts about God.
