Plane Crash in Phuket

A One-Two-Go plane from Bangkok to Phuket crashed this afternoon after landing during very heavy rainfall at Phuket International Airport. Sadly 88 of the 128 passengers on board are confirmed dead. On board this flight were foreigners as well as Thai people so the whole world will be watching. My heart goes out to the passengers, the families. But also to the hospital staff, police, rescue workers etc have had their more than their share, of injuries and deaths to deal with all after all they went through after the tsunami… (click here for more pics and info.)

Sawadee Khrab! I’m about to go to Phuket and I’m very excited about my trip. Already got my flight to Bangkok and from there I’ll go travel around Chiang Mai and of course Phuket, I saw your nice site on Bing and it seems that you know a lot about Phuket City. Could you please give me a hint where to stay in Phuket Island? I’ve read there are some fantastic hotels in the main city and in the north… Thank you in advance!
