Flying with Tiger Airways
Jul 22nd, 2005 by Lillian
I remember when I was a kid on a flight from Singapore to Zürich I was allowed in the cockpit . I have many memories of looking into cockpits and talking with the pilots. So, on this flight I thought I’d ask if my kids were allowed to go and look in. I KNOW I KNOW… not in this day and age of terrorists and hijaking and bombs. But you can ask, right? The answer was no, you guessed right. BUT on our way out the captain came out to say good-bye to the passengers. So I asked him if our kids were allowed to look into the cock pit. He said yes ! So, in went my three kids. I stayed out but I’d have loved to go in there myself but didn’t want to stretch our luck ! My daughter didn’t say much but my sons were fascinated. My 9 year old said mummy, ”there were sooo many buttons. In front of me and then I turned around and there were lots of buttons there as well! ”
Apparently my 4 year old asked how they take off and land and a pilot showed him some of the controls.
So that was nice and to the question, how was Tiger Airlines, I now have to say it was GREAT!!!

Well I’ve never flown Tiger and I have not been to a cockpit for a few years, but I’ve just been to Singapore (from BKK) and wrote about it in my blog - however in German. If you like to read my “adventure”, you find it under the address above. Cheers.
