My Son7 said ”mummy the last time we celebrated Loi Kratong was in Switzerland, remember, remember?”. Yes, in the year 2006 we celebrated the 1st of August in Switzerland, which is the national day and we bought fireworks and had a party… ( it wasn’t the last time but thats not important)Â Took a while to explain that its not quite the same thing…but that its almost the same because in both countries it sounds like war zone at night 
with all the fireworks. Thats my son, growing up as a global nomad. As he grows up, all celebrations with fireworks will remind him of Loi Kratong… cute.
