How cool is that. I know, I’m not really a great writer, I make tonnes of spelling mistakes, my grammar and sentence structure is very very basic. But what the hell, I won !!!! Thanx to all of you who went over and voted for me, you’re the best ! For proof go over to TCKID tckid is a community forum and blog created by Third Culture Kids. I think the forum is a great place to meet like minded people and to read the similar struggles other Global Nomads went through. I won’t be spending a lot of time there because I’m sort of ” over my need to find identity.” I don’t want to sound arrogant but I know who I am, with all my restlessness and rootlessness, and I don’t have this strong need to find other Global Nomads. Its a journey I’ve been on a while and the older I get the less I define myself as a GN. I don’t automatically feel this amazing connectedness when I meet GN. I don’t like being put in a box. Just because I grew up like that doesn’t mean I act of think the same way other GNs think.( I do have a strong need to win prises lol) But go over and check out the sight. Especially for people who live outside their passport country and are raising children, you might understand them abit better if you read through some of the posts.. Things like taking your children ”home”, expecting them to fit in after living oversea, expecting them to say goodbye over and over and over.. things that makes life hard for GNs!
