Be flexible in Thailand!
Dec 16th, 2007 by Lillian
Yesterday evening I got to sing my song at the recital from the voice school I attend. Again I lost a little bit of my ’swiss need to know’ . I have to adapt. I was told I could sing at 5.30 pm which turned out to be 7.30 pm. That didn’t really bother me, I had time. Once I got on stage I missed the beginning of the song because they played the long intro to my song.. which I HAVE NEVER HEARD. Of-course I missed it. Well, I used all the ‘mai pen rai’ attitude left in me. Eventually I knew where we were and I sung my song. I think I did really well and I actually enjoyed standing on stage haha But I tell you, if I weren’t this flexible I could never do it. Like I’ve joined another choir and will sing 3 songs from The Messiah at Payap University. I was asked to join 4 hours before the first rehearsal. Who will be performing, when the rehearsals will be, what time etc the concert will be I have no idea. I’ll go with the flow. As I wrote be flexible…:-)
