Must see in Chiang Mai
Jan 18th, 2008 by Lillian
Doi Suthep Temple. The temple is beautiful and, its the view from there panoramic. Best time of the year is a end of November before the smog starts or after a rainy night when the sky is clear. Chiang Mai has literally hundreds of temples and this is often the most crowded. Others, like Wat Ched Luang is definately worth seeing.

Night Bazaar Open from 7pm till about midnight. Local handicrafts for sale from tshirts, music CDs, DVDs, furniture to jewelry. Prices aren’t fixed so its ok to bargain. Just remember the people have to pay high prices for their stall and earn their living…
Sunday Market. Open from 5pm till about midnight every Sunday. Roads inside the inner city get closed off. Meet the local artists of Chiang Mai here. The food stalls are not expensive and definitely worth trying. Good place to hang out with friends. More walking space than night bazaar and therefore less stressful.

Warrorot Market is a place I love taking our visitors. The flowers market just begs to be photographed. Vegetables, Fruits, jeans, tshirts, fish etc etc. You can find it all. Can be a little overwhelming for first time travellers to Asia, so definitely a must
Go and see something different. Are you brave enough to try some fried insects?
(I’ll continue this list another time.)
