Next Full Moon Party…

… at Koh Phangan s scheduled for Tuesday the 22nd January 2008, as I found out on this blog. Thailand Q&A. One of my dreams is to go there one day. Actually, I’ve heard that there are other full-moon beach parties on the islands which are just as much , if not more fun. Doesn’t really matter which beach but one day I want to dance all night on a beach with some of my party friends and stay up to watch the sunrise 
If you do go to the next party why not leave a comment? Or have you been to Koh Phangan? Can u recommend it? I’m curious…

I went once, but they cancelled the party as a couple of girls drowned in the sea the night before - The sea was really choppy and even though the beach guards were advising people to not swim, a few drunk girls ignored the warnings. Shame.
My sister is the most hardcore party goer I know, and she went with her friend. She really didn’t like it, she said that everyone is way too drunk which spoiled it. I got to admit, that did put me off. Drinking a few beers with some mates is fine, having 10,000 people pissed out of their minds doesn’t sound like much fun to me.
I’ve not gone yet! Been here 3 years and just haven’t made it. Not really into that idea either. You know how just a few drunks could really ruin your night. 10,000? Ooh. Maybe bad news. Unless I was one of them. I’d have to get drunk first, then go. Then it might be ok. Which other islands have the parties? Samui? Phi Phi? Lanta? Do you know?

I’ve been about 4 times in 3 years and I’m sad to say that it has gotten worse each time. Not sure if it’s just me getting older or if it’s genuinely attracting more drunk British idiots (who somehow got their tickets to Tenerife mixed up), but either way it’s all a bit of a mess. Don’t let me put you off tho - I think everyone should still experience it at least once!!
