I just received an email from the CDSC (Christliche Deutsche Schule Chiang Mai)
”Liebe Eltern,anbei finden Sie den vom Vorstand verabschiedeten Schuljahresplan für das kommende Schuljahr 2008-09. Wie Sie unschwer erkennen können, werden wir an der CDSC ab kommendem Schuljahr zur regulären 5 -Tagewoche zurückkehren.”
YES YES YES. Best news in ages. The German School will have a ‘normal’ 5 day- week. Did you hear that? Monday to Friday. Every week!!!! WONDERFUL!!!! Good things do happen, you just have to wait long enough 
(seriously though, 8 years is VERY LONG)

Mon-Sat school, Sun free then Mon- Thurs is just a very long term. The idea was to let children who are in the boarding home go home every 2 weeks for a long weekend… We’ve got 6 more months of this before it changes. But change is coming.
