Last night my friend and I met some cool guys from San Fransisco…
J:Hi where are you from?
Me:I’m from here, Chiang Mai
J: No,  really?
Me:No, my friend is from Chiang Mai, I just live here.
J: So where are you from?
Me: I’m from Switzerland
friend interrupts… no you’re from Papua New Guinea
Me :Yes, I’m from Papua New Guinea.
Changed the topic.. then much later..
M;: (other guy) Papua New Guinea is a very unusual country to choose when making up a country you come from
Me: HONEST I’m telling the truth
I wonder if I should go trekking with them. I’ve live here xxx years and never gone trekking. I said I’d had enough jungle to last me a life time, but when I think about it, I miss the rain-forest, I miss seeing stars at night, I miss hearing the rain on our roof… maybe its time to return to the jungle.  Oh to be a tourist….
