Moving in Chiang Mai
Mar 14th, 2008 by Lillian
Almost everything is packed and tomorrow is the big day. We have lived in this house for almost 8 years. I think the biggest thing is that I had a new baby here. I remember bringing him home, the joy, the tears, the endless sleepless nights then watching him grow. We’ve had alot of visitors over the last years. Great people and some so bad we were in tears when they left. Would be nice to be able to leave those bad memories here.. like bury them in the yard or something. The nice memories, like all the girlfriends who have come over for cheese and wine parties, BBQ parties, watching ‘ Friends’ with friends, my childrens dress up and soccer birthday parties, lots of music… watching my kids sing along to Beatles and I think I will always associate this house with the song ” Blackbird singing in the dead of night”. My husband practiced it and now my Son11 can play it on the guitar. Over and over and over….. We’ll sing it one last time…
Bye bye old, dark, falling apart, water dripping, paint pealing, wall falling down, broken wooden floors, humid, moldy and ants infested house. I’m glad to be going ! Make sure you give the next tenents a hard time too
