Children quotes

My child ( trying not to use names here)
”Mummy, here’s the question. Which book has been read most often. Harry Potter, The Bible or the telephone book.”
silence
”Mummy I’ve never even SEEN a phone book”
Mummy (me) tries to explain that in the olden days.. hmmm start again in other countries it is/ it was common to read phonebooks. I’m confused. Why would someone read a phone book? My poor child has never seen a phonebook. Actually non of them have. (Mental note, show them a phone book in Switzerland..) I won’t blame it on the fact that mummy can’t even read the phone book here..,, I explain that these days its common to use the internet…

LOL Yes - we are getting old!
Our eldest came downstairs at her grandparents house when she was about 14 and asked:
“What are all these big black CD’s?”
She had never seen a record!
When I was a kid, my brothers and I enjoyed flipping through the phone book to see if anyone has the same first names as ours. My oldest brother has a more common name so he stopped checking it after a while.
As far as I know, I am still the only one.
