Last night I had little chat on skype with my 11 year old niece. She is the cutest niece anyone could have and I really look forward to seeing her this summer! I need things to look forward to because things are not getting better around here. To protect peoples privacy I can’t write anything but its like sickness is striking everywhere. Also, 3 families who have been my support system in the last 3 years, are all leaving. Everyone is selling stuff, packing, looking into buying houses and getting jobs ‘back home’. After the kids had gone to bed last night, I watched a movie and cried all the way through. It wasn’t a sad movie but I need to cry …after that and a jog this morning I’m ready to face it all again.

Oh honey it seems that it is ‘that time of year’… everyone has itchy feet. One thing I know about the world now is that the internet has made it so much smaller… my first stint as an expat had me writing 30 or 40 letters a month to family and friends… now it is so easy to keep in touch. Gotta love skype!
