What Is Pilates?
Pilates is a body conditioning routine that seeks to build flexibility, strength, endurance, and coordination without adding muscle bulk. In addition, pilates increases circulation and helps to sculpt the body and strengthen the body’s “core” or “powerhouse” (torso). People who do pilates regularly feel they have better posture, are less prone to injury, and experience better overall health.
I’ve started taking classes. Believe it or not I manage 2 lessons a week ! I’m still totally a beginner but I enjoy it and I’m learning so much ! I haven’t had time to go to they gym lately but with these classes and jogging every other day I manage to keep the same level of fitness.
I have a 30 minute Pilates video that I do (sometimes!) and I love it. I’m sure if I did it more often I’d see some results.

My cousin teaches internationally, mostly in Spain, and she looks fantastic at 40. I would love to have more time for Pilates. It’s a great workout, especially on the abs. (My cousin has killer abs!)
