Goodbye to neighbours/friends
Jul 3rd, 2008 by Lillian
We met in hospital in 1999. Then we met again and then again. The third time we said, lets have coffee! And thats how our friendship started. We lived as neighbours for 8 years, our children were in the same classes, you were their teacher for a couple of years. Whenever a water-pipe broke, my car wouldn’t start, I couldn’t find a pump for my bike, needed an egg, flour or use the Internet… we’d go over to your house. We car pooled to school, to birthday parties, to youth group etc. When our mubahn flooded, we ate pizza and chatted together. Our kids were friends. They formed a club, played ”need for speed” on their bikes, went on adventures, had sleep overs, played soccer, Barbie’s, Lego etc and celebrated each birthday party with each other. For the last 8 years we have shared our lives and were always able to overcome our differences.
Who will smile at me across the room at a school event because we remember something that happend a couple of years ago. Who even remembers my children in Kindergarten? Oh I almost forgot! Who will I watch Australian Opens with??!! sniff sniff
Yes, I will miss you! We will miss you ! I can’t imagine going to school and not seeing you there after our long vacation….Somehow an era has ended. Maybe I should call it our ‘Baan Nai Fun’ era. And again, tears flow. I hope you will find a nice home, a great job, and that you will be blessed with friends. Sawaddii, Tschüss, Bye, Servus
