TCK … the forgetful one….
Aug 26th, 2005 by Lillian
My brother is planning a trip back to PNG. Today I got a mail… apparently the name of the place where the international school is, is called Walimali. Just past Walidege. Tari,Southern Highlands, Papua New Guinea.
I don’t know how long its been since I’ve heard or read those words ! I lived there for more or less 14 years… As a child I didn’t think I’d ever forget. I was sure I’d never forget. But I did. Strange.. maybe it wasn’t that important?
I think thats not uncommon for people who travel alot. Especially global nomads ( as I like to call them now) who have to adapt to new place every few years.
I’ll probably forget a whole lot more before I’m 80!!!!
Better start writing my autobiography NOW.. tomorrow might be too late, I might have forgotten even more lol

Hi Lillian,
It’s fun looking at your diary. Just spent a lot of time looking up your link to Southern Highlands. Beautiful place- but wouldn’t want to go back to PNG anyway, not even for a holiday!
Lots of love,
Mum
I know, it’s a little frightening to realize how much you can forget. I think that’s why, as a global nomad, I find writing so valuable and necessary in my life.
