I love the bugs here – over the years I’ve taken a lot of photos. Last night there was this monster grasshopper attached to the exhaust pipe of the motorbike. I wheeled it in – he stayed all night and I wheeled him out in the morning. Wifey made me push him off before I started it. The other day – was hiking – heard a noise in the small tree above my head. A lizard jumped into another tree to grab a praying mantis. I bent the tree down and as I did – it got close to another tree -where the lizards saw ANOTHER praying mantis. Not afraid of me – he jumped into the other tree to grab the other mantis at the SAME TIME. He had two in his mouth… I held out a stick, he climbed on – and he posed for a movie. Will post it sometime soon. Maybe today. Bugs and wildlife are the best here! I’ve not seen one like you posted here…

I used to see those around our house every now and then. They are scary looking things; although, I don’t know if they bite or sting. I was told they are called Longhorn Beetles.
