Is it safe to travel in Thailand

I just read this blog which is on my RSS feed. I think its very helpful and to save me from writing it why don’t you go over and read the whole post. Personally, my only concern would be if an airport is closed…Not being able to fly home after a vacation, to me is quite a stressful thought. Being stuck somewhere, with three children, waiting for a flight is not fun and expensive! Not to mention missing work, school etc. I still hope my bro and his family come in December.. but I would totally understand if they decide to go to another country instead!

I’m not planning on cancelling my trip either. Unfortunately, BKK will be the farthest north I go this year. Last year I went up to Laos and it was too cold for me.
I returned from Thailand last month after visiting Hua Hin and Udon Thani. If I had not read the Bangkok Post on a daily basis then I would have been totally unaware of Thailand’s current political crisis. I had a great holiday that was in no way affected by the present troubles in Thailand.
