Chiang Mai has some great tennis courts ! Today I played doubles with some parents from school. We played at Mubahn Wan Tan. The courts are concrete and painted. Very hard to play on, I find. Two spots on the court had puddles which we dried before playing. The price is excellent thought. 30 Baht per hour. (0.50 Euro) Not bad, eh?
There are some more courts at Chiang Mai Land, with 4 softer courts.  There are some more courts at Ban Kwam Vieang but I have never played there.
The only problem is the heat. You really have to play before 10 am and after 4 pm .. even then it gets VERY hot. Thai people do all their sports in the evening.. understandably cos most people work ! Evenings really are crowded sometimes but morning  are lovely. None around !!
