Yikes, this is scary. My brother and his wife (and two kids) were living in Vietnam when this thing was at its worst and they were okay, but still it was really scary. Stay safe:)

iFlu.org has printable factsheets, rolling news about bird flu, and extensive links to other bird flu related sites.

We do not have links with any drug companies etc, but the drug of choice is Tamiflu as made by Roche. There are online pharmacies who sell this drug, but I am not sure whether they deliver to Thailand or if it is licenced for use in the country. Tamiflu is expensive and difficult to make, leading to worries about availability. Warning: it is expensive!

You may also consider purchasing P2/N95 masks and non-sterile, disposable gloves (a bit like surgeons use). I believe that 3M make a N95 mask which also can be bought online (try searching for n95 masks).

Personally I'm still more concerned while crossing the roads in Bangkok than by the bird flu.

I'll take extra precautions when I'll know that the pandemic goes from birds to human easily. Right now it's only a few people who has been close from poultry or other birds who caught the disease.

I think the worst this pandemic is doing right now is devastating south east asia's economy via echoing newspapers.
