Chiang Mai flood warning again.

At noon the river level was recorded at 4.05 m. This is enough to have NongHoi flooded as well along the west of river but not yet into the Night Bazar street.
Grace closed their school early, parents are picking up kids at CMIS and in our mubahn the Thai kids are already home. German school won’t be effected but will close at 15.00 so that all the kids can get home safely ! Different areas were flooded this morning. Hang Dong, World Club and Koolapan 9 were flooded. My friend at Baan Wan Tan couldn’t leave the mubahn due to the flood.
This really is the flood season. Never in the 6 years we have been here has it ever been so bad !! ( since we are in thailand, but probably longer.

I was planning on coming to Chiang Mai this coming tuesday from the U.S. I have just heard about the flooding. I am wondering if it is still safe to travel there, or if it would be difficult due to the flood. I am sorry to hear about all the water damage and disruption of life.

Don’t let the floods stop you from coming. There are plenty of dry spots in Chiang Mai. IF it floods again, as we are being warned for this week, you’ll hear about it !
