Hi Lillian!
what a surprise to "stumble" over your blog!
I like the way you present life in Thailand. It is so evocative. Reading, I felt like being there again.
Warm greetings from Romania. I keep nice memories of you and your kind invitation to the New Year party. How ist your family and especially T and T?
Happy New Year and lots of fun if you party again.
Hugs

I totally agree. I had a maid for about 7 years and then we moved house and she quit. Now I've done everything alone and getting so sick of it. Someone recommended her so i know she comes recommended! I'd never just take a random maid !!

I'm not sure if you've ever had a maid before but I'm going to give you a piece of advice: watch them like a hawk and don't let them get away with anything they deem good enough. People who work for you, like children, will test your limits to see what they can get away with and a maid is no different.

I've been through 2 maids. The first one was an unreliable alcoholic who also happened to do an excellent job, the second was reliable and lazy. I'm fortunate that neither ever tried to steal from me, but I have friends who used to have their cutlery mysteriously disappear of all things.
