After the flood.. October 2005

The water is all gone and people are waiting for tourists at the night bazaar.
Would you believe that during the flood we always had electricity. Maybe it IS good that all the cables are up on poles
Someone asked me what we did while it was flooded. Well, we spent alot of time walking around, the kids got a boat out and helped transport stuff, we invited our friends over and ate pizza with them on one day. It wasn’t boring. There was always something to do! Two days isn’t very long eather. My 9 yr. old son and I went for an adventure one afternoon. We drove our bikes through the flood water and went to check out the superhighway. Poor guy, it was hard for him to drive through water with all the current , but he did great and we had lots of fun.
I’m still glad its over. Rainy season isn’t so we just hope there will be no more flooding. The river is still very high though….
