Early morning walks…

Every morning I take our dog for a quick 15 minute walk. Its one of those things I just do and its part of my daily routine. The kids get picked up by the school bus (songthiew) at 7 am. It struck me again  that almost all the kids in our neighborhood get picked up at this time. I saw buses from 4 different school. Thai, and international schools.  There are some kids I’ve never seen and my kids have never played with, even though they are within walking distance. My daughter would probably disagree saying she’s played soccer with them.. hmmm .
Anyway. I just struck me how different it would be if all the kids went to the same school. If all the kids walked to the same school. Would they make friends easier? Would they play together more often? I don’t know. We live in a city and the kids go to school by bus. Thats just the way it is.

That’s a good way for your dog, I have one too but I only take him for a walk sometimes, because I am lazy even though I know Dog loves runnign around especially in a park.

In thailand, ‘neighborhood school’ or ‘district school’ kinda system will never work. Thai culture is very status-oriented so parents choose schools based on their ‘quality’ and not convenience. But it makes sense. Unless they make the public education system here level up to the international standards then it might just work.

Well, I always walked to school and it didn’t make alot of difference to be honest. In fact at one point they had to stagger the finish times of the schools coz there was so much fighting, school rivalry. I would much rathered sitting on a nice bus than walking
