Meeting new people in Chiang Mai…

I do love meeting new people and Chiang Mai really is a great place to meet new people. There are alot of Thai people ( lol stupid comment I know …) tourists often hang around here for a while and are usually happy to talk. Other expat friends have their family visiting or friends from home so I get to know them as well. Besides people who come and work with us short term.
I’ve found my balance again. ( did it really take me 6 months??) and I actually ENJOY meeting new people. I’m going to make the most of this phase because I know July is coming and people will be leaving… but thats not for another five months.

Do you speak Thai ?
I studied a couple of modules.. unfortunately all my linguistic skills seem to have deserted me. There are 5 tones in thai and even though I understand alot I have a hard time being understood. But I get by ….
