Thai Politics…

… is one of those things I hesitate to write about. Mainly because I totally don’t understand it! Politics is hard in any country and not being able to follow thai news makes it even harder for me to understand…anyway…
Yesterday Mr. Taksin Shinawatra called for a snap election. He announced the dissolution of Parliament.
What I do know is that : all is NOT well in the Thai government… for more read here The Nation.

Yeah, my dad emailed me about it yesterday….well, I’ll be able to catch up on Thai politics in a couple of weeks when I’m in Thailand myself. Apart from that I can go to the elections! (Premier and the Uppoer House election…both in April and while I’m there…and it’ll be the first time in five years that I’m there during the Songkran!!!!!!)
It has been interesting to watch the politics here in Bangkok unfold the last couple of weeks, although I am with you… I don’t really understand what is going on. Partly because I don’t speak Thai, and partly because I have never lived in a country with a Parliament. Although, I kind of like the idea of being able to dissolve Parliament and have a new election without waiting for four years.
