Rice fields and heat…
Mar 8th, 2006 by Lillian
The temperature is up to 37°C. And its only the beginning of hotseason!
This morning, after I’d dropped off the kids at school, I took this photo of the rice field. The school is surrounded by rice fields, quiet and very idealic. The fields never look prettier than when they are this beautiful green, fresh green.

Oh, geez…I think I’ll get a heat shock when I get back to Thailand on Monday.
This is a really gutsy post to make considering how many of your readers are shivering while reading this. Just kidding
Missing Thailand a lot.
Ugh - 37 already?!? I’m so not looking forward to summer in SE Asia. I was in Chiang Mai in December, and it was perfect.
Oh yea.. I can hear the cicadas! Sorry J… didn’t want to be mean. You wouldn’t like it .. its too hot
but you’d always find a cool coffee shop, right? Em.. you’ll love it. Back home for Songkran.. how exciting ! Venita.. Singapore is always hot, isn’t it?
37° C is too hot for me!
RE: No, I won’t need the mittens in Thailand…but I still can wear them on the plane!
That looks so tranquil.
I’m freezing right now, but I know I’d start whining if it got up to 37°C too. You just can’t win.
I can’t imagine 37oC at the moment … a recent 9oC day was warm and exciting recently but mostly Belgium has hung around 0oC for what seems like months … snow again yesterday while we were in Bruges.
Mmm, this looks so lush and green and humid and languid. Sigh
