My Thailand Diary

I’ve been making alot of music lately. I’ve actually written one song and the second one is in making.. just need to spend more time on it.  But to be creative I need a certain sense of peace. I definitely need to be alone which isn’t always easy when you live in a house with 4 people and 3 of them are under 12
My kids ( don’t all kids?) love music to so we often sing together. Beatles is a top favourite band right now and they all seem to be able to memorise the words really really fast.  Another top favourite is the soundtrack from the film ”Shrek2”. Life would be sooo much duller without music. I can’t imagine having no music. Music has to do with your emotions, feeling. Actually people who make music are often more in-touch, or shall I say more honest about themselves. Maybe it has to do with the fact that when you make music as in playing an instrument, its really hard to lie. Sure, you can pretend you like a certain song or melody but you can’t go on singing or playing it. Our lives are richer because of music. Saying this I’m reminded of a song ABBA wrote..
 Thank your for the music, the song I’m singing, Thanks for all the joy they’re bringing, who can live without it, I ask in all honesty, what would life be, without a song or a dance what are we? so I say thank-you for the music, for giving it to me.
