Laos or Lao Peoples Democratic Republic is one of the most isolated countries in South East Asia. Its north-east of Thailand. Laos is a communist state and has been independent from French Colony since 19. July 1949. Apparently its a beautiful country and still very ‘unspoilt’.
Flight time from Chiang Mai to Vientiane is a bit over 2 hours. Vientiane is the capital city of Laos and is situated on the Mekong River. Sounds nice, huh?
Why am I writing this? Because this is where my husband and our friend, Mr. D are flying today. They are going to visit a friend and then travel around.
And me? Today I’m a taxi driver. And its Tuesday. I’m always a driver on Tuesdays….

I took a two day trip on a boat down the Mekong to Luang Prabang in Laos and it’s beautiful there. There were villages along the river that had no electricity and the kids would run the to the river bank to stare at us while the boat loaded up with small cargo. It was probably one of the most interesting trips I’ve done
I wanna travel, too! Wonder if I could persuade my parents for us all to make a trip to Chiang Mai…and you could play tourist guide for us! :p

Wir haben jetzt 9:18 (eigentlich erst 8:18!) es ist total verhangen (wettermässig) und die zwei schönen Tag, mit warmem Wetter sind schon wieder passé… zum Glück fliegen wir bald auch an die Sonne (hoffentlich), nicht nach Thailand, sondern nach Israel…
