Kambly Buicuts from Switzerland in Thailand
May 2nd, 2006 by Lillian

I went shopping at Rim Ping and saw these biscuits. I had to buy them even though they aren’t cheap. Years ago, when I was young, my brother and I got a summer job in a factory. Yes, you guessed. Kambly. Alot of memories came back when I held that packet in my hands. The work was soooo boring just packing biscuits into boxes. We were allowed to eat as many as we wanted. Ofcourse we thought this was cool! But after the first day we understood the why. Eating too many make you feel sick…And yes, I felt awful. The rest of the time there, the need to ’snack’ was gone but I still felt awful every evening. My arms, legs and back ached. I remember thinking, wow, if this is what the rest of my working life is going to feel like, how will I ever cope. One thing I did know though, was that I never want to go back and work in a factory. After all these years I’ve never been tempted to go back and work there. I prefer wiping runny noses, watch telly tubby and going to boring ‘Thai days’ at school any-day.

It says something good about the biscuits that you’re still interested in eating them after working at the factory. I worked at McDonald’s in high school, and, well…
Did I say I ate them?
No no, I’m NOT going to eat them. My kids are….
