Oh dear. Its 9.23 and my neighbours are fighting again. The mother is yelling at her daughter. Have you ever watched a thai soap opera? Well… its like that. She yells at the top of her voice and tells her daughter how lazy she is and other things I don’t understand but I know its not nice . Doors are slamming and if it gets to bad the daughter, who is about 19 years old, will lock her self in the bathroom which is about 2 meters away from our living room. There she will probably sob and sob while her mum keeps screaming. Awful. My Son5 just asked me ..”mummy why is she shouting..”. I don’t know why. She’s one very unhappy woman.

I know about problems with 19 year old daughters. I shout because I can’t kill her. So what we did. She got her own flat and have to look after herself now.
I am really calm now.
That is not funny! Maybe Joe’s solution is the best !
Love doesn’t always express itself in the way that it is meant
I think that people shout at loved one’s when they feel out of control and don’t know how to reach the other person. It is sad that a mother and daughter cannot reach some way to communicate without yelling and fighting.
I believe it is hard for mothers to realize that their daughters had grown up and have gotten their own mind, starting to follow their own dream. It is important to let go and let them develop their life as we parents developed ours. Mothers also tend to worry about their daughters discovering sexuality and maybe get even pregnant! Its understandable. It is sad that your neigbour does not understand that this will drive the daughter away and maybe even deeper into the opposite direction. What ever you try to hold on to, even if you hold on with all your might as more likely it will slip out of your hands.
One of my daughters left with 18 to England and it was hard to let go, but I knew I had given my best towards her until then and she will be strong enough to find her way. I have 3 daughters, we hardly fight, but we keep love and respect between us and I am glad to be part of this relationship.
