Leader to be named in 2 weeks..

BBC... Gen Sonthi Boonyaratglin told a news conference that new elections would take place in a year’s time, once a new constitution had been written..(etc etc)
"We have two weeks. After two weeks, we will step out," he said.
He said coup leaders were considering candidates to appoint as the new prime minister, who would rule until fresh elections in a year’s time.
We still can’t watch CNN or BBC. Cartoon Network seems to be working, important isn’t it? I can’t get a feel what the general mood is in Chiang Mai. One or two thai friends are worried.. but with all the kids home, and neighbours kids in and out of our house, its hard to leave and satisfy my need for information. Oh well. Its raining now, the river is rising. Not dangerously but we have to keep an eye on it. Mr. Ph was in a coffeeshop and there was a poisonous snake right behind the sofa he was sitting on. He SAW it !! How freaky is that? I’d die and demand free coffee in that shop for the rest of my life !!! Mr. Ph is so nice he’ll probably smile, say ‘mai pen rai’ and give the poor waitress a tip.

Cartoon network is a necessity to some people like me. Lol… hopefully we’ll be able to watch CNN or BBC soon enough.
The poisonous snake is something scary and I wonder how Mr. Ph says “Mai Pen Rai”. I would freak and run for my life.
I actually wanted to catch the snake. Just to be some kind of tuff guy. But I have never seen a snake that aggressive. Apperently it was poisionous. So I just ignored it sitting at the next table. Later the snake made it’s way towards me and someone came to remove it not without difficulties. Harry Potter would have talked to the snake and invited it to a cup of tea.
