My Thailand Diary

If there is one thing that I really love, its books. I read alot. Some mums like cooking and sewing, backing and quilting, making cute photo-albums etc etc. I don’t.
Anyway.. I’m finally reading the book ‘Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy written by Douglas Adams.’ I’m only into about the fourth chapter but so far its good.
Now I also know where the saying: thanks for all the fish comes from
(For those who don-t know, its another way to say ”goodbye”. The things one learns, huh?)
There are some great secondhand bookshops in town. My favorite is ‘The Backstreet Bookshop.’ near the Thapae Gate. When you bring a book back, you get 50% of the price back. A good deal, especially when there aren’t any big libraries in town.
