The schools always seem to be asking for something and there's only so much you can do. We don't pay for school here, but they still beg for money or expect parents to paint, clean, provide food etc and I don't think that's right. Sounds like your school follows the German system with the Elternsprecher and all that. Lots of work and not much reward. I say let someone else do it for a change and don't feel bad.
