Have you ever been to a place
Where people stop asking for money
Just ask for food?

Have you ever been to a place
Where no one is interested
In designer shops
But where to get some shoes

Have you ever been to a place
Where the women have no choice
but to work

Have you ever been to a place
Where mum drops her child in your arms
And then disappears in the crowd

Have you ever been to a place
And you are moved beyond words
By the poverty and life of refugees?

I’ve been there and it changed my life.
