Ho Chi Mihn - Chiang Mai

Someone asked me how to get from Ho Chi Mihn City, Vietnam to Chiang Mai, Thailand. Well, there are no flights straight to Chiang Mai. Apparently Lufthansa, Air France and Vietnam Air have daily flights to Bangkok, but as for now no low budget airlines….
You could take a bus from Ho Chi Mihn to Hanoi, then fly Air Asia to Bangkok. That would probably be alot of fun and interesting.
Just for the record I’ve never been to Vietnam. Who knows when this girl will get to travel again….
