Pizza Hut and Toys in Chiang Mai
Feb 20th, 2007 by Lillian
Yes there is a Pizza Hut here ! And you can even get delivery just call 1150. The employees all speak thai, some speak english and some seem to speak neither….haha… When you first sign up, it takes for ever to describe where you live..but once its in their computer.. no problem.
My kids love the pizzas. I don’t really. I prefer my homemade ones. Fresh and I know what’s in them ! So why am I telling you about Pizza Hut? Oh yes.. I took my kids there on Sunday. Mr. Ph is in the mountains and the kids wanted to go toy shopping and only my youngest found something he wanted to spend his money on.. a Bionicle from Lego. I wish we could buy Playmob here.. Most of the toy are too expensive, or so cheap that they are broken before we get home. I found that in Switzerland there are alot of good, cheap ‘little’ things to buy. We haven’t really found that to be true here. BUT, I know we are spoilt coming from a culture that spends a lot of money on children’s toys….

Yes, we use the delivery service too. If it is more than 30 minutes from order to delivery you get it free. So far we’ve only had one free meal. Have you ever been into Pizza Company (Minor Group)? Worst service anywhere. Walked out of their branch at Central Lard Preaw the other day for the second time. Refuse to step foot in it again.
I hear what you’re saying about the toys, much cheaper back home and better quality. Good stuff here is pricey and the cheap stuff rarely works for more than a few hours, and often presents a safety hazard. Kids clothes are more expensive here too, which is ironic as most of the stuff back home is either made here or in China.
I miss playing with toys.
It’s true that gud toys here r real expy. apparently that how it works here i think… sad but true.
One of the few American chains we have here is Pizza Hut. I eat there once a year or so - when convinced to by friends. I never really liked it when I lived in the US.
on the cheap toys , i find that those that require batteries always plays the ‘ i’m your barbie girl ‘ song when you turn it on … drives me crazy …
I used to go to the Pizza hut in chiang inn plaza at the night bazaar….then they closed and The Pizza Company opened in their place (don’t remember the reason…Burger King went too….some franchise hiccup?)
I was so mad I refused to use the pizza company…and now all the Pizza Huts are back :)….and burger king has opened opposite Mcdonalds….lol
Kids love the Tomy range of toy trains…and so do I…. and they are made here so cheaper than in the UK
