How to fill the tank of you car in Thailand
Feb 24th, 2007 by Lillian
One thing I take for granted here in Chiang Mai is getting the tank of my car filled. Here is how its done. I drive up to a petrol station, roll down my window and say for example I want 91 for 800 Baht. You don’t say how many liters you want, you say how much you want you want to pay for the petrol. Then, the employees do it all. At some stations you even get a bottle of water for free. I don’t have to get out of my car. Makes me feel spoilt and very privileged, which I’m NOT because EVERYONE gets the same treatment. Non the less, I enjoy the feeling ![]()

It’s good. Have you had the car wash experience yet? About half a dozen men/women will give it a complete wash inside and out while you wait and all for about 70 baht! Excellent value!
That’s what I call service!
