Trucks, adventure and birthday

On Saturday we didn’t only go to the wedding. On our way back we decided to go to Doi Angkhan. After about one hour drive through very steep and very windy road we arrived there. The temperature change was amazing. We felt like we were in Switzerland ! The air was so cool and the plants… the royal research station is really beautiful. The apple trees, apricot trees, bonsai, rose gardens and not to mention all the tropical plants. Everything was green green green. Its really worth visiting if you have been in Thailand for a long time…On the way back we took a mountain road from Doi Angkhan to Chang Dao. The drive took us over 2 hours and it was a long and windy road. Many villages we drove through must be chinese. I hope to go back one day and do some more exploring ! I was so glad the kids didn’t join us. Thanx Matt and Jo for staying with them ! As for the photos.. I love driving that truck

Green green green.I’m so lucky to be able to have little adventures like this that take me out of everyday life of being a full time mum. Yes, I’m grateful. And, its my birthday today. No party this year.. at least not today. Just not in the mood. I want to get in that truck and drive through some more long and windy roads…..

Hallo Lillian, du bretterst wohl gerade jetzt mit dem Truck durch die abenteuerliche Gegend des norden Thailands! Ich sitze hier an meinem Computer, es ist Montag morgen und ich schaue grad so was läuft in der Welt, höre dazu Michael Buble und träume noch einen kleinen Moment davon in die Ferne zu gehen um kleine Abenteuer zu erleben :-).

happy belated birthday… i wish i could go up north too. the heat and the humidity … rather unbearable here. T_T anyway glad u enjoyed ur drive.
