Wawee Coffee

Wawee coffeeshop …A great coffee chain in Chiang Mai. The are a couple of Wawee coffee shops in Chiang Mai now. My favorite is right on Nimmenheimen road, another shop is in a soi right off the same same road ,another on Ratchadamnoen Road , another off the Bangruang Rit Road in a soi, Suriwong Bookshop has one, on Charoen Rat Road there is one right by the river and then there is one on Ratchadamnoen Road. Wow..that makes 6. Did I think of them all? The coffee is excellent, the prices reasonable, the shop has such a good ‘feel’ about it and I love meeting friends there for coffee

Never heard of that one. Is there one up there called Doi Tung? I’m sure I used to go to one with that name in Chiang Rai which did a pretty good pancake and delicious coffee.

I may be mistaken but their logo somehow reminds me of Starbucks. Is the chain only in Chaing Mai?

Max there is a Doi Tung at the night bazaar, Adam… Wawee only in Chiang Mai as far as I know.. the starbucks logo is green.. but round. No, I don´t think it looks the same.

Today I was heading to the Wawee at Ratchadamnoen Road. There is a lovely place where you can sit outside in the shade. Unfortunately the chairs there seem to be to attract customers only. None of the staff felt responsible to take my order. Do I really have to sit in a dark aircon room to get my Espresso?

Maettu.. you have to get your coffee yourself !! Order, pay and then they bring it to your table You can wait forever haha
