They sat close
knees barely touching
first date? just friends? lovers?
He talked alot and she listened intently
to everything he said.
when she said something, his eyes never left her face.
Once in a while they laughed,
touched the other lightly on the knee.
oblivious to everyone else in the restaurant.
It was ‘them’ and us.
Where did they met? How long have they known each other
questions I will never get an answer to.
I watched them leave,
she was holding his arm.
