The poor guy! That must of really hurt! 3 weeks in a cast does sound really short, I broke my ankle (well leg bone near the ankle) about 12 months ao and the doctors also told me I would need a cast on for only 3 weeks. What they actually meant was you will wear this cast for 3 weeks, return for an x-ray at which point we will put a nice fresh new cast on for you (which I think I wore for two more weeks).
I hope it heals nice and quickly for him...

Speedy recovery for Son10!

Now you have to find him some markers so his friends can sign the cast. It's the coolest thing! :)

OUCH! Trampoline huh? Yeah, I've always pictured some nasty things happening on those. They are basically instruments designed to take you from 10/10 fun level to 0/10 very quickly. They maim and destroy youth. lol - seriously though, I've had a couple close calls on those things. Not least of which was landing in one of the holes on the side. Tell your son to suck it up and milk it with the girls since they love an injured guy. Vern

Hope that your son recovers quickly! Our 2yo just fractured his tibia by falling off a ladder he should have never been on. He's pretty much recovered just fine, but my wife just happened to mention to the orthopedic guy that we also have a trampoline. His advice - cut it up, burn it, and bury it. Ah well, we do have an enclosure around it and we watch the kids while they are on it. I think they can be safe if you take a couple of precautions.

Sorry to hear about your son. Hope he gets better soon. I am thankful that even though I am a bit unhappy with some of our doctors, the emergency services are really efficient here.
