Not leaving Chiang Mai…

I’ve had a lot of  night dreams lately. Last night I dreamt that I was in in Switzerland. We were unpacking our stuff and trying imagine how we’d fit everything into an apartment. It was a really beautiful apartment, we could see the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. But I wasn’t happy. I sat down, holding a sarong and cried. I just didn’t want to be in Switzerland. My kids knew what the matter was, they felt the same. Ph. didn’t say much. My sister-in-law told me to get over it. I’d had  a couple of years in Thailand and now it was time to settle in Switzerland.
Can you imagine how happy I was to wake up to the humming of the fan, the sounds of a gecko in the hall and the birds singing and pigeons cooing? VERY Happy.

How long will you stay in Thailand?
My deadline is 2012. Still six years to go :-)

not sure how long we will stay. My oldest will finish 10th grade in 2011 so we might have to go back then.. who knows :-)

The contrast between the two places must be quite dramatic … I’d like to know more about Thailand. Sweet dreams …

your dream was a nightmare :-) Time will come, maybe, maybe not. I wish you a few more years there. And my question is, can you ever come back?

I had a dream like that recently that I found myself back in London and in my old job again and I just couldn’t believe I’d decided to go back and I felt so sad to be back there and not in Thailand anymore. It was a good eye opener for me to see how much I like my life here!
