Wow! I had no idea there were so many international schools here. I taught in an international school in Caracas, Venezuela when I just graduated from college – well, that was a few years ago.
There must be lots of farongs here to warrant so many international schools!
Hi Lillian
Just stumbled across your blog as I’m trying to find out what its like living in Chiang Mai with school-age kids. My husband and I are planning to try out the expat life for a while with our 6 and 9 year old boys, so if you’re happy to give your 2cents on schooling that would be wonderful. I realise that can be a bit contentious so happy to email if suits you. We’re intending to have the kids in an english language school so the shock of the move doesn’t become too difficult.
By the way – absolutely loved your description and definition of a TCK!! Both my husband and I were laughing quite a bit. A lot of the points hit home beautifully. I reckon I’m a TCK (born in northern Europe, moved to Canada as a kid, moved to Australia as an adult, while my family moved to the US) and my hubby is also a migrant and we’re dead-set on raising TCKs!
HI Kaarina
