Christmas …

Well.. Christmas is almost over. I sang lots of Christmas songs, well, four actually. Over and over and over. With the choir. If I have to sing ‘Silent Night’ again I will scream. I’m so sick of it. But I’m not sick of the ‘Oh Holy Night’. I LOVE that song ! 🙂 Various people have told me they didn’t get into  the Christmas mood this year. What exactly are they looking for? For some, it was the fact that Thailand doesn’t have a public holiday on Christmas and its business as usual. People want to meet and go out on the 24th December. Or like my choir , we had our first concert on the 24th. I didn’t go. I was a good girl and put family first. But I did go to the Christmas party on the 25th at the choir directors house where we sang some (more) carols and enjoyed a traditional American dinner. Yummy yummy. So what is the Christmas mood people are looking for? I guess for many its the lack really fun Christmas shopping, original window displays and of-course we miss extended family.  To be honest I’m glad Christmas is over. Now one more rehearsal and ”my” choir gets to sing 2 songs. Yes, TWO songs at the concert I mentioned in another post. From 6 songs to 2. Sometimes I just don’t get it. Oh well, mai pen rai. At least we get to sing in public, good experiance. As for the christmas tree, its still in the living room. Been there for three weeks haha
